Welcome To My World
A poet speaking to their inner child

Welcome to my world
Of Sheer imagination
Where nothing is real...
And really, it's nothing.
Welcome to my world
Where time is only a matter
of predestination.
Watch the birds
Fly over your head
And wait for your train
At the foot of my bed.
Watch the sunset
In the corner of my room
And sit depression down
In its own seat - marked gloom.
Have a discussion
Tell her things aren't quite right
And watch all your miseries
Melt mysteries in the night.
We'll have cocktails
Just us two
And plan all the things
We've longed to do.
Wait! Don't leave yet
There's more, my friend
Come back, have a seat
'Cause my dreams never end.
