Welcome To America!

The subjugation is part of the package.

Hello hello, and welcome here!

You’re come so far, from nowhere near.

We’re quite happy to have you, dear!

Please relax, you should feel safe!

You’ve landed and those suits must chafe.

I come as “friends” and in good faith.

Many questions you have, I’m sure.

But be silent now; follow me, I’ll show you more.

Yes, yes, straight through this iron door.

What’s iron you ask? I told you not to speak

Do you not understand, is your mind so weak?

If you’re to stay, you’ll be humble and meek.

But I am kind. I’ll answer what you ask:

Iron is sturdy and strong, so all sound it can mask

Impossible to break, it’ll hold you ‘til you finish your task

It’ll be a test or two, to see how useful you’ll be.

You’re just so different, we can’t set you free.

Your skin and your customs? We’ve deemed them obscene.

We’ll house you here, as a favor to you.

Otherwise, you’d never know what to do!

You dumb foreign creature, you’ve got no clue.

In return for kindness, you’ll act as burdened beast

It shouldn’t hurt (not much at least)

Once we get what we need, we may let you feast.

So, until you behave, you’ll stay in captivity

It’s the good old American way, you see!

Just take a look through our history.

We know what’s best (at least for us); we always do!

Think of this entrapment as beneficial to you.

No matter if you find it cruel! We’ll get to write what’s “true.”

Author's note: This is a condemnation of the United States and the way this country has continuously tricked, trapped, and enslaved anyone perceived as "different" at various points of this country's history. It is not what I would actually show first thing to an alien. The first thing I would show them would be my dog, obviously.
