The transition from summer welcomes you.

It is a worthwhile excursion

A place to experience the changes of time

Somewhere you stop off to test an aversion

Filled with many wonders and scenery so sublime

Enter it with ease in your heart and mind

This is worthy of being the place to be

It offers more than you can imagine, and is one of a kind

And you'll have nothing to fear, but what's at the end, you'll see

Ghouls and goblins will rise and take over the streets

Guard your neck against the lycans and the vampires

Check your routine and get out for the best of eats

Prepare to smell the sweet odors of its many fires

Once you've entered with the openness you need

You'll not have to worry about being entertained

There's plenty to do and even more to see, even as they bleed

And leave behind them drops of crimson, things that are stained

Witches walk among us in this most special of places

Concocting their spells and their magically stinky brew

Tell them apart by the haggard, wart-covered faces

And oh, famed movie monsters come to life too

Welcomed you are to October, my little dears

And enter if you so dare

Once inside you'll face your fears

But be sure to dress for the early fall air
