In a town where whispers blend with sighs,
Beneath the arch of weathered, weary skies,
There lived a man whose heart beat slow and low,
Amidst the laughter where shadows seldom show.

His name was Eli, with eyes like storm-tossed seas,
Each glance a testament to unspoken pleas.
He walked through markets lined with vibrant stalls,
Yet felt no pulse beneath their bustling calls.

The baker’s song would rise like morning sun,
But Eli's ears heard only what was done;
The bread that cracked and crumbled in his hand—
A symbol of the dreams he could not stand.

With every passing day the colors drained,
As if the world conspired to leave him pained.
He watched as children danced on cobblestone,
While echoes of their joy pressed on his bone.

At dusk he’d sit beside an ancient oak,
Its branches tangled tales that time bespoke;
A hollow heart within its gnarled embrace—
An echo of his own forgotten place.

Then came a girl with laughter bright as gold,
Her spirit wild and tender yet so bold;
She spun her dreams like threads into the night—
With every word she painted wrongs to right.

“Why do you linger in this shadowed space?
Step forth,” she said, “and find your rightful place.”
Eli looked up from depths of quiet dread—
Could life still bloom from ashes long since spread?

In twilight’s hush he felt her hand entwine—
A spark ignited by a force divine.
Together they wove stories from despair,
And in that warmth found solace for their care.

No longer weighed by silence or regret,
Eli began to see—a life not set;
For even in the stillness hope can grow—
Like flowers born from earth beneath the snow.
