Web of Lies

Sometimes, it's okay to just unwind.

By SGH AdinaPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

I didn’t just lie to them

I lied to myself

The three little words that I say,

The three little words that are like

A thin piece of string that keep me together

The three little words that could be the end of me,

Are the three little words that I dearly hang onto.

I am fine…

No, I’m not

And I never was

I know that if I don’t open up

To someone I’m going to crumble

And break apart

All the anger, hate, and sadness would pour out

But I had to keep myself together

Not just for me but the people around me

It was just me and my web of lies…

Lying in the cold and dark silence
