We Shall Glisten

Our day at a horse show

Shall you wish to enjoin me upon a summer’s day?

With me thou shalt not find yourself bored!

Your body wilt "glisten" and your hair be filled with hay.

And at the end of the day, thou wilt be sore.

We shalt work so hard to be our best.

We wilt groom and polish with gusto too.

With my horse I will try to do the test.

Yet others will decide how we really do.

The judge is said to be most knowledgeable

But alas a B52 fly hath landed on my horse’s rump

Eee gads, oh dear - mine horse is not agreeable

He hath jumped and wiggled and gone bumpety bump.

No trophies or ribbons doth we take home this day

Just laughs and friendships and our hair full of hay.
