We live for others

A poem

By Alina IchmouratovPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The kaleidoscope glitches.

Sometimes it sets,

And, through the glasses, its switching peritoneum,

My point of view appears.

I get joyous fears.

I might get out.

The green window is the frame

Where I disagree with my name.

I follow the edges until the end

Of the game.

Gaming through my world

Of colors.

A color for the taste of it;

A picture in the mind.

No!

It is not real!

Take me out.

I hang half of my body through the square

So I can believe again in the word.

Their word.

No shadow in sight

Except mine.

I look down.

Where lay my orange dolls, my clothes, my axe.

My confidence, my kiss.

One day, I became red.

She took my hand.

He took my hand.

We learned to love.

To turn around to discover

A reality check.

Purple pearls on his neck

Fingers crossed.

Disorganized bones.

Bring me my tea.

I shall float till I’m dead.

And when I wake up to peace,

The fantastical,

I will sit down next to the blue man

And count his breaths.

I will do it for you.

I will light his cigarette.

I will tell the tale for the wet and humid,

I will sweep the ashes.

You don’t see it?

Transform the tale.

Your wrath? Your jail.

Break your black screen.

Give them a break,

Share.

I care about your light,

Tight colors.

I believe

I live for you.

And I’m so proud of you.
