We Are Here To Learn Love

[Verse 1]
What we call cruelty
May teach a heart to see
What we call unfairness
May shape what we can be
[Pre-Chorus]
Through every difficult door
There is a lesson waiting
A chance to understand
The lives we’ve been creating
[Chorus]
We are here to learn love
To hold each other gently
To practice patience daily
And meet the world compassionately
We are here to learn love
That is the quiet truth
Through every loss and turning
It leads us back to you
[Verse 2]
The road may bend without warning
The answer may take time
But every wounded moment
Can soften what was blind
[Bridge]
Let tolerance be our shelter
Let mercy guide our hands
Let kindness cross the distance
And help us understand
[Chorus]
We are here to learn love
To hold each other gently
To practice patience daily
And meet the world compassionately
We are here to learn love
That is the quiet truth
Through every loss and turning
It leads us back to you
[Outro]
Love, tolerance, compassion
That is all we’re here to learn
Love, tolerance, compassion
In every life, at every turn
