"wayward woman"

i am a wayward woman

a woman of the desert and sea

whose biggest fear is to be eclipsed and limited by the sands of time

before i walk every inch of the mojave

and dance across the golden gate bridge

or stay in a little villa by the beach in greece

or in a chateau in the south of france

i am a wayward woman

born to feel and to see

the things beyond this earth

outside material reality

whose biggest frustration is trying not to be the crying crustacean people often see

i am not sad

i am just full

overflowing

and overwhelming

with empathy

and understanding

my greatest weakness

my greatest strength

surreal poetry
