Waxing&Waning

a dreamer's song

I drift like smoke in shadows

my bent will throughout corners: spread out

bouncing off towards a mirrorless sun

like spores of light

shooting straight

I loom

without body

nothing we can do about it now

& why should trust only belong to the young?

breaking in between branches

as silent as sawdust

all water now follows my lead

mud, rocks & tides floating off

as if tortoises could fly

& what river will now reflect this once shining longing?

the night runs us dry

background is foreground

planets, gases and thunder

staring blankly

all awaiting the long gone dreamer who would outshine them

no day to break open through senseless reason & lustful hope

without shades

waxing & waning

our souls now beyond

surreal poetry
