water

(flows)

water,

scalding water

on my skin.

your lips burn

like a thousand flames.

tiny beads

drop into

oceans of sweat.

you make it

hard to breathe sometimes.

stream rising

from the questions

i will never ask.

your fingertips

run up my body.

my hands

on your chest

as oceans run between us.

you raise your head

and close your eyes.

water from my eyes

dripping like tears

but maybe it is water.

you will wrap me in your arms

and i will shiver.

a sip of sustenance

when i am

always thirsty.

you make me die

for your love

that ebbs and flows

like water.
