Watchful Ghostly Eyes

A Sonnet

By Benjamin MillerPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

Watchful Ghostly Eyes - a sonnet

The ghosts of family members long since passed

Do keep an eye on living relatives

But must keep quiet so not to aghast

Those still alive who would be sensitive

To know there must be another realm,

Or two, or many, where spirits do mingle,

Though try they not to rage and overwhelm,

But listen and talk with gentle tingles,

To communicate with loved ones, try to coax

Choices that fit our personality,

To lend a shadowy hand to evoke

Passions that push individuality;

For ghosts of family members who have passed

Realize the cosmos is supremely vast.
