Meanwhile back in heaven
God in heaven watching
Evangelists and Evolutionists
Holding the answers to creation
seductively out of reach
Glimpses revealed on a whim
A cache of fossil bones
An ancient sea scroll
One never outweighing
The others importance
Just enough to keep
The conflict afloat
Evolutionists agree we have
Finally evolved high enough
to communicate with the lower
Species- making caged apes talk
and crediting ourselves by
letting them make demi-gods
and monkeys out of us
While Evangelists battle satan
waiting for the second coming
Others Waiting for Mohammed
Life goes on
Spiraling up and down
Spiritually rising
Physically demising
Consumer advancement
Devouring the planet
God in heaven watching
