Watch the children as they play.

Are they color blind today?

Don’t they notice, can’t they see,

their skin is different as can be?

Don’t they know that they should hate,

and in war participate?

There they are a girl and boy,

having fun and full of joy.

Him a little handsome lad,

she’s the best friend that he’s had.

But somehow, it’s just not right,

Why do they play, when they should fight?

But adults will let them know,

They’ll break the ties as they grow.

They tell them that their friends no good,

But they never understood.

Funny how teenagers say,

that adults are blind today.

That prejudice should not remain,

and God loves us all the same.
