Wasting time –
it’s a funny phrase isn’t it?
We believe that this imaginary unit of measurement
will somehow run out
and so its perceived limit
gives it this immense value that we center our entire lives around
and gives us an endless supply of anxiety.
Time.
We think that once we lose some,
we’ll never get it back,
so we must spend our entire lives striving
toward an imaginary goal
in order to fulfill our ~purpose~.
But as long as you exist,
you can’t escape experiencing.
Experiencing
~anything~.
The feeling of boredom
as you wait for the train,
feeling the longing for stimulation
creeping through your skin
or laying in the grass for hours
with someone that feels like home
or watching a show
that breaks your heart and fills it back up
because you get so lost in the story
and you understand the main character so much
that for a minute you mistake them
for you.
No experience is ever wasted, my friend.
And if time is eternal
and we are eternal,
always experiencing ~something~,
then I don’t think we need to waste any more time
worrying about wasting time.
