Wasteland

A Poem

By India DillonPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

I’m stuck in this place,

No one to save me.

Why do you do this?

Torment, abuse, bully,

There’s barely anything left of me.

I can’t believe you let me down,

I had my doubts already,

But you went and made them worse,

I knew I should have been ready.

You lied straight to my face,

Told me I was overreacting,

When in the end it was you all along,

Who was standing there, acting.

Come on and try,

You already broke me

But this is a wasteland,

And I’ve grown up here, you see.
