Warrior of the light

One of many battles

I feel as though I’m breathing underwater

My lungs feel so compressed

I’m tired of fighting all these battles

And I’m in desperate need of rest

Because everyday I fight,

To hold my own against the odds

Battling the demons of dark

As I walk the path of Gods

Searching for salvation

Unwavering in my quest

Carrying the many burdens

As each day, I’m put to the test

And nothing seems to get easier

Every day’s full of agonizing pain

I can feel my strength seeping away

The slow, yet constant drain

Though what can I do but fight

Until all my powers gone

Who would I be if I did not struggle

From night to early morn’
