She was a warm breeze
Touching every tender joint
But so often
I felt alone when we were together
Like something was misplaced
We kissed and caressed and came together many times
Yet the forceful thrill was just a new sensation
Not true creation
We didn't make joy happen
We didn't bring magic into the moment
No heavenly leaven leaving us lighter than the might her mother gave when she birthed her into breath
So our union feels accompanied by death
And a dearth from all the stones now stacking bricks upon my beating heart
Tell me, my former fluster, where did that great majesty start?
And what so quickly tore our love apart?
