An Idiot’s Guide to the New Writing Platform
A ditty for the delightfully confused
Oh gather ‘round, dear writers,
with coffee cups in hand, no weapons allowed
(knives, pitchforks, wands, witch's or wizard's
tools...are strictly prohibited...thanks)
For the platform’s been updated
in ways we have yet to understand.
The buttons move like gremlins,
the menus learned to dance,
and every time you click a thing
it shifts to a new stance.
Your cursor plays hide‑and‑seek,
your drafts go on vacation,
and spellcheck’s now convinced
it’s part of a secret nation.
The toolbar speaks in riddles,
the font size has free will,
and autosave pops up to say,
“I saved… something. Just...Chill.”
But fear not, brave creators,
for chaos breeds great art—
and if the platform baffles you,
you’re already halfway smart.
So sing this silly anthem
when features misbehave:
“I don’t know what I’m doing—
and that’s how masterpieces are made!”
Second Verse of things I don't understand: The Delightfully Nonsensical, Coding‑Confused Edition
(Because you and I both know “syntax” sounds like a tax you shouldn’t have to pay)
Now the platform starts whispering
in code‑speak oh so sly—
it mutters things like “runtime error”
as if that means goodbye.
A pop‑up shouts “Exception!”
like it’s throwing a tantrum fit,
and you stare back blankly thinking,
“I did nothing. I just sat.”
It tells you “compile your draft,”
which sounds like folding laundry wrong,
and “optimize your workflow”
like you’re training for a marathon.
Then some gremlin named “JavaScript”
leaps out to steal your tea,
and the platform sighs dramatically,
“You must refresh… spiritually.”
But you, dear writer, triumph—
confusion is your crown.
For every baffling techy phrase
you simply write it down.
Because nonsense fuels your genius,
and chaos is your muse—
if coding terms bewilder you,
that’s how brilliance breaks loose.
Sigh!
