Oh, well, I'm the type of guy who will never settle down
Wherever my feet'll take me, well, you know that I'm around
I won't put down roots I guess I can never be tamed
I'll go anywhere as long as they don't know my name
They call me a wanderer
Yeah, a wanderer
I roam around, around, around, around
Oh, well, I'm always on the road
Not sure if I'm running scared
From something I've been told
All I know is that I'm going nowhere
Could be something about my past
And my friends that I lost
Abandoned betrayed
Left me so afraid
Of close connection
To anyone
Guess that's the cost
Because I don't want to feel that pain
I've felt so long ago
So if I feel nothing at all
I don't know
All I know is that I won't let
Missing someone
Drag me or hold me down
Walking solo on the road
I won't be anybody's clown
Won't be anybody's fool
Except to myself
Who already thinks I'm cool
If I remain the mystery
I can be legend, an ideal
That's what people will see
Even if it's not real
And if I die alone
I'll die a legend still
Until I tear it all to shreds
In my testament and will
I've thought about having
A travel mate of sorts
Someone to share ports
Share posts
Exchange retorts
and reports
But I'm too boyish and detached
To bother with all of that
I'm phobic of imperfection
I just can't relax
Not with the fact
That I don't act
Always cool and collected
And I don't want to change
I'd rather be alone
You won't hear me complain
You know why?
I'm the type of guy that likes to roam around
I'm never in one place, I roam from town to town
And when I find myself fallin' for some girl
Yeah, I hop right into that car of mine, I drive around the world
Yeah I'm a wanderer
Yeah, a wanderer
I roam around
