Wallflower

Wallflower

Don't be discouraged because I'm quiet, secretive, and lonely

Hiding in plain sight, watching life pass me by

No longer looking through those rose colored glasses

My strength is gone, my soul shattered

My world is taken away

Betrayed by life emotions, and illness

The heart feels empty and afraid, hardening to any emotion

Knowing there is no one to trust

New thoughts are unwinding

Suggesting a will to survive, to be successful, to be productive

Hearing my heart speak outloud

Hoping someone will look beyond the 'wallflower.
