Waiting

Let's make wallpaper great again!

i’m gonna sit here

in my ugly little room

(yes, a very ugly room: drab curtains from the fifties. A curling carpet held together by cigarette burns is reflected in the sheeny nicotine stains on the ceiling. Paint peels from the looming walls it’s many layers mark its slow journey through time. Mismatched furniture sits around like junkie vultures but is barely visible as the dim gloom emitting, low wattage bulbs struggle to sustain their vigil against all the darkness’)

and i’m gonna wait

i’m gonna wait

for a whole lot

of different things

i’m gonna sit here

on my ugly little chair

and i’m gonna wait

i’m gonna wait

an ant on the carpet

a fly on the wall

i’m gonna wait

i’m gonna watch

and i’m gonna see it all

i’m gonna sit here

and let it all rush through me

i’m gonna let it take me whole

i’m gonna let it so i won’t forget it

i’m gonna let it have complete control

i’m just gonna sit there

i’m gonna sit there

i’m gonna stare

i’m not gonna share

i’m gonna not care

i’m gonna grab it

with my graspy little hands

i’m gonna absorb it

directly

through my skin

i’m gonna feel it

oh man i’m gonna feel it

and then

i’m gonna watch it

some more

then i will know

for sure

that this

is

the what for

but other than that

i’m not sure anymore

don’t even wanna think

yeah…

nah..

i got nothing
