Deep in the dark silent Earth lies a wolf,

His eyes the color of steel

His soul a poet, his mind a warrior

Someday he will be hers, he will be hers

Then her soul will be complete

For now it cries and shutters,

Flying in the wind like swan's down

Shinning silver, in the moonlight

The man standing there in the shadows

Catches the silver down

He knows it to be his only love

But he cannot find her, find her

Death and blood follow him,

Obstructed his path

Prime evil forest twin around

He taste the wind, and it smells of jasmine

She sits quietly

On the snow encrusted mountain

Tears shine down her face, and freeze into ice

She knows that one day the wolf will come,

And then she will be free

Then her soul will be complete

For now it cries and shudders

Flying in the wind like swan's down

Shinning silver in the moonlight

heartbreak

Lovely and engaging verse. I really enjoyed reading this and have included a mention in my weekly review slot which should appear shortly. https://vocal.media/journal/this-week-s-short-story-reviews
