Waiting for my next chapter
That next phase. That “Ahah!” Moment.
I’m waiting for my next decade to unfold.
New intentions. New directions. New experiences.
It’s not about travelling the world on a backpack.
It’s perhaps about buying an electric vehicle,
Investing in a home of my own. All of that adulting.
A soft life, we’ve been saying we’re yearning.
None of the rat race. None of the competition.
Yes, efficiency. Yes, don’t waste time.
But fighting each other to get on top? Back-stabbing
And playing the political games? F--- that.
I’m not about that life, never was.
I don’t have that hunger. I don’t have those wounds.
I’m not fighting my way to the top.
Do I want to climb any ladder at all?
I haven’t decided yet. Maybe not.
Maybe I just want a decent job.
And then retire as an animal rescuer. I don’t know.
