Waiting

Understated Melodrama, Perhaps

By Violet P. DaviesPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I am alone

Who would have known?

Looks like you're not

Who would have thought?

I'm not surprised

Why am I still waiting

Why am I still waiting for you

She's a dunk in your coffee girl

With a dunk in the river name

They say that it's cursed, but it's lovely just the same

Why am I still waiting

Why am I still waiting for you

This is not something that I should be writing down

But I've lost some hope, so I'm trying to figure out

Why part of me still thought

You might be waiting for me

heartbreak
