They say my body, my choice
When it’s their voice being heard
But when others stand up for the same
They have conspiracies to blame
With every lie
They cast us in the die
They hold tight to their stars and bars
As they demand we lower ours
They say were destroying the nation
As they plan our elimination
They tell us to just fit in
As they press our backs against the gates of Hell’s Kitchen
But we stand now more than 300 strong
Ensuring we belong
They proudly display their rainbow festoon
For the month of June
But when it comes time to take it down
They are on the side of those that would see us go to ground
Ignored and abused 335 days a year
Not once have they shed a tear
For those they would call queer
Our month is over
But we are still here
