Viva la Revolution (de’ Enfer)

A psuedo-sonnet on the revolution in Hell

By Sean SelleckPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
Le Pandemonium by John Martin

Cast from the realm beyond Elysium

Having succumbed to the power of Pride.

Falling past Earth, Purgatory, the void,

Ba’alath hides in Pandemonium.

Satan and the third thrive on wicked souls

In an economy run on past sin.

Millennia past, Gehenna gains coin

A world of rapists, murderers and ghouls.

But the whip lashes back to the demon.

Humans accumulated battle back

Using weapons inspired by the Beast.

Satan to never live as a free man

Exiled to the chaos beyond the black.

The new tyrants are at their happiest

Remaking Hell in earth’s brief, dark image.
