Visitors should not come over to judge my parenting style.

I tell my in-laws I know I’m a good mother.

Anyone who visits me will always see a bright smile

on my daughter’s face, I do not visit to bother

or criticize people. I visit to engage in conversation,

I visit to listen to others or to learn something new.

Visitors who dislike a wild child can go to a new location.

I will not put on a facade, the colors I show will be true

because why would I pretend motherhood is pure sunshine?

No, they will see that motherhood can be a pain.

They will realize that being a mother can hurt a spine.

I want my visitors to know it’s healthy to complain

about children. My daughter gets on my nerves,

but visitors will see she always gets the love she deserves.
