Virtual Disconnection

A Poem

How connected are we all if always connected?

Do you make space for loneliness in the land of the virtual

Are you always lonely and missing

In a world that never steps away

This is not a connection

Merely codependence in a shiny new box

Show me the souls you have touched

Barehanded and burning with empathy, compassion

When is the last time you were moved

To selfless tears

Emotions so full

You burst at the seams

Plug me into the real ones

Electricity only flowing through my veins

To yours

Lighting up a room with our energy

Disconnect long enough to see

View this beauty from the only lens

blue insYou were meant to see through
