Virginia Beach Cozy

As I rise,

The sun greets me,

Another day begins,

Here in Virginia Beach,

The smell of the ocean,

Greets me like a warm hug,

The warm breeze,

Comforts me,

As I walk along the beach,

A lot of joy,

Is always within reach,

Breakfast is here,

Warm buttermilk pancakes,

The time it takes,

To eat and enjoy the nice warm breeze,

That often blows,

Throughout the trees,

The sounds of the waves,

Crash hard against the sand,

All I am wondering,

How this town is in high demand,

I walk down to the pier,

To see the ships,

In all of their glory,

When they come through,

I know there is a story,

The city is alive,

With a lot of seafood,

The time it takes,

To see the water full of wakes,

Here in Virginia Beach,

I would like to stay,

Each and every day.
