Splendour speaks

Violet skies

Majestic trees

Sing their blessed songs to me

My heart sits in reverent awe

Wondering whose name is being called

When I realise it is mine

Whispered in the air

I love with love too sweet to bear

I rejoice in flavours foreign to this soul

For the joy, this joy, from other worlds

Has called to me

Has sung

That little way

In the smallest wood

Calls to me like no one could

It speaks to me from spirits learned

From wiser boughs of older ferns

Leaving in its softer tunes

A trail of air;

When breathed banishes despair

When felt turns life full and fair --

Oh Turner of Hearts

Oh Lover of Beauty

This scene before my heart unruly

Has given Life to a wayward soul

Showing it more, so much more

Than it ever knew before

And so this view

From a moment’s saunter

Uncovered from the night

Has spoken words into my core

Has guided me to Light
