Victims to Victorious
Finding inner peace
Adolescence is stained
Burnt-orange, rust-colored disdain
Chaos filled memories
Distorted realities
Emotional abuse scarred in our souls
Fragile spirits, wholly controlled
Gaslighting as a hobby
Heartbreak embodied
Innocence stolen, left without trust
Jagged wounds in all 3 of us
Kids she should never have had
Love bombing us whenever we’re sad
Manipulation is her game
Narcissist is her name
Open wounds lead to shame
Pathologically projecting pain
Questioning if we are sane
Reclaiming our power has been hard
Silent strength blossoming from the discard
Trauma bonding, she tries again
Unveiling the truth makes it hard to pretend
Victims are what she made us to be
Word salad thrown at us so we cannot see
Xenolith of resilience, our foundation is being remade
Yearning for love as the memories fade
Zealous in our journey to begin anew; we once were victims but we’re victorious survivors too
