Vicinity

poem

I'm willing to take a risk with "the one" I've always known the least,

Although, I've been with her all my life,

I was blindly passing by her side.

I want to take her to the park,

show how to play,

grab gently by the hand,

tell not to be afraid.

Be mischievous on the playground,

get a bruise or two,

do a goofy somersaults,

which will make us bloom

When the bedtime comes,

whisper soothing stories to her ear,

so once night becomes a day,

the old ghosts will turn to flame.

I'm a little bit afraid,

what a treasure she might hide,

Once she lets out inner light,

to the world and shine.
