Vestige of the Emerald King

Eos how much longer?

Sheltering halos in my eyes

Even when I can't sleep

These memories, they follow me, haunt me

I can feel every spirit's presence on my fingertips

My thoughts and words slowly manifest their faces

I can hear the past in these pastel portraits

As if this is heaven with every step I make

But when I breathe, heavy smog fills my eyes

Now today, in my closet, there are angels stumbling

It begins to reek of whiskey and divine coke

I feel this has to be a daydream

Then an epiphany breaks my eyes

Jumping out of my window

The surrounding colors escape with me

My body shift and blurs

feathers rain down as the sky peels with every second

My mind is turning

I was promised more.

I look up to the exposed darkness

Then the light, I see it, it matches what I have in eyes

A dark cloak approaches

A scythe, a crowd of demons surrounds me

A green flash hit beneath my feet

Realizing the stars aren't far enough

If I can reach the moon,

I can land among them and grab them right out of the sky

I can have my promise then
