Nightmare in the ER

the last thing I remember is saying,"Richard is here", and walking out the door, he was taking me to the ER, and tossing my keys on the end table.

I remember sitting there with Richard, and waiting for them to call me in.

I do not remember my wife, calling Richard in the ER, and a lot of things are a blur.

he told her I was sitting up eating peanut butter crackers, and ginger ale but I do not remember that.

he also told me when I called him upon going home, and thanked him for saving my life, by giving me a ride to the ER

that I went downhill fast

my wife is oxygen dependent and didn't have her portable unit yet

by the time my wife got to the ER, they said it could go either way

this is my story

I am home now, and I beat the Grim Reaper wrath so to speak. I spent 14 days on the ventilator, - 17 days in the hospital, and I became very spiritual on my journey back home.

I would like to thank my wife of almost 37 years, for guiding me home. I haven't always appreciated her, but I have had angels watching over me, sent by God. She always has been one of them.

I will end each of the series of articles, the same way.
