UNWANTED TENANTS

I rented out my house
To who I thought were the perfect lot,
But after a little while
My happy thoughts began to rot.

I thought they were perfect tenants
But they soon proved me wrong,
They had only been telling me lies
And stringing me along.

I went to do an inspection
On the house that I loved so,
Oh my God if I had known
That day I would not have wanted to go.

It looked so dirty and filthy
Dirty plates and food on the floor,
I said whats been going on here then?
They said weve been partying galore.

I told them they had five weeks
To pack up and get out,
Then one of the tenants started
In a foreign language to shout.

I couldnt understand a word
So I merely nodded my head,
Then they threw me out the doorway
And I landed in the flower bed.

I got back up all muddy
With a flower upon my head,
I said you might be laughing now
But remember what I said.

Five weeks later I went back
And knocked upon the door,
There wasnt one unwanted tenant
Or dirty plate upon the floor.

They had taken all their rubbish
And gone without a sound,
But left me with one small gift
A pair of knickers on the ground.

As for those dirty knickers
I picked them up with a very long stick,
I threw them straight into the trash
Because they made me feel quite sick.

Nobody would have bought them
They looked like they got them free,
They certainly never paid any cash
And they werent staying there with me.

So if ever I rent again
Ill check them through and through,
Because unwanted tenants once
Was one more than a few.
