a poem

Unusually, I am calmed.

I can hold my own,

And yet I am still not strong enough

It is a tiring fight I fought

I say it as if it has stopped

I pray to the gods that I can be heard here

I knock on wood just to feel like I can keep surviving.

This is nonsense.

It is the perilous journey I began when I stepped outside my bubble

It shattered and so did I

But it was worth it.

Was it worth it?

It's the question of worth and value that hurts.

The nonsensical poetry that is tiring me out,

Until I collapse into slumber,

Where the mockingjays mock me, intentionally.

Or maybe it is just their nature.

Or maybe it is just my destiny.

It would be unusual, but not for me.
