Happiness is ephemeral

Blink once and it’s gone

But

Sadness is a black hole that extinguishes the light

But anyone can adjust to the dark given time

The idea that the battle of the mind is so easily won

As if we don’t fight day in and day out to not lose this fight

Because those that do

Those that do are labeled

Weak and selfish

Weak and selfish

Do we remember those we’ve lost in this battle?

Do we fight to make a change?

No

Because physicality plays a bigger role over mentality

Those that fight in a war with guns and bombs are honored and cherished

Those that fight in a war of the mind are overlooked and forgotten

I want to be forgotten
