Untimely Bloom

A farewell written in tears, to a love lost too soon

By Rohitha LankaPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

The smile that once graced my face disappeared in a heartbeat.

You took my essence and vanished into the distance.

The tears that lingered in my eyes found solace in a dream.

The celestial goddess returned to the boundless sky.

The wish to travel together was crushed.

Your beauty was displayed in a white gown.

Although there was no agreement, my heart mourned and said goodbye.

A melancholic tune was woven into my love.

Flags were raised to signify the journey ahead.

Everyone wept, yearning to be vulnerable once again.

The world moved on in silence, longing to seize the infinite.

The heart was molded to shut its eyes, just like you.
