In every town and city,

In every neighborhood and street,

There are unsung heroes,

Whose work is never complete.

They're the social workers,

Who labor day and night,

To make a better world,

And help those in their sight.

They listen to the stories,

Of those who've been hurt and abused,

And offer comfort and support,

To help them through their blues.

They work with children in need,

To provide a safe and loving place,

Where they can grow and learn,

And find their own unique pace.

They help the homeless find shelter,

And the hungry find food,

They fight for justice and equality,

And never give up the good.

They are the social workers,

The ones who make a difference,

And though their work goes unnoticed,

Their impact is immense.

So here's to these unsung heroes,

The ones who never rest,

May they find strength and courage,

To continue giving their best.
