Unspoken

by

I won't ask what it feels like to be you,

for I could never explain the swirling

emotions pulling levers in my brain.

But I will ask to look in your eyes,

those beautiful, dark windows to the inside,

and I will witness what I wish to learn

and I will show you that I can be here

whenever your soul decides to thunderstorm.

And I will love you soaking wet and scared.

I will love you like the dark clouds of my mind

love the sound of your voice.

I will love you like my tears love your laugh.

Like you are the first and I'm the last.
