Amazing is the only way to describe it
But then, silence, why won’t she respond?
Could I have done something wrong?
Doubts now fill the space once occupied by joy
Emotions have long ago displaced logic
Fighting with doubt
Grappling with loss
How can I feel loss?
I never really had it
Just wishful thinking
Kindled by something, what?
Love? Yeah, right
More like delusion
Nothing more than that
Or was there something?
Perhaps she’s dealing with fears that
Quiet her, control her
Restrain her
Should I say something?
Things usually get worse when I do
Unless she did feel something
Vain speculation on my part
What would I tell her?
X marks the spot in my heart
You hit it hard
Zero is left
