Unpaid, Yet Rich

Poetry often makes you famous after you have lived your life

Unpaid, Yet Rich

No coin exchanges for my art,

No riches fill my humble cart.

Yet words, like stars, ignite my night,

And fill my soul with boundless light.

I craft with care, each line, each verse,

A labor of love, unrehearsed.

Though wealth may never find my name,

The joy of poetry burns the same.

For in the silence, words take flight,

A simple pen births endless might.

Unpaid, unchained, my heart’s decree—

To write is wealth enough for me.

Poetry has lived in me since childhood.

Ink spills the feelings words fear to say.

My poems heal, some haunt, all are pieces of me.
