Unlock the Doors
Unlock the doors…
Open the windows wide.
Let every weary curtain dance,
Let sunlight walk inside.
Invite the morning gently in,
Let yesterday be gone.
Sweep away the dust of sorrow,
Welcome back the dawn.
Let fresh air wander through these rooms,
Where silence chose to stay.
Let laughter find forgotten corners,
And chase the grey away.
Open every shuttered dream,
Unbolt each hidden fear.
Throw wide the house that’s waited long
For someone truly dear.
Bring me your lips…
My man…
My love…
The place they always knew.
For every kiss once stolen by time
Has waited here for you.
Lay your hand inside my own,
Where it has always belonged.
Feel the quiet certainty
Of a love forever strong.
Come home not as a visitor,
Nor someone passing through.
Come home as every heartbeat
Still remembers only you.
The kettle softly hums again,
The roses bloom outside.
Even the walls seem warmer now,
With nowhere left to hide.
The empty chair no longer waits,
The lonely echoes cease.
Your footsteps are the sweetest hymn,
A gentle song of peace.
No more locked hearts.
No more closed eyes.
No more words left unsaid.
Only whispered promises,
As together we are led.
Take this moment.
Take this life.
Take every dream I’ve known.
For every road my soul has walked
Has only led you home.
Welcome home…
Mine again…
Forevermore.
Not for a season.
Not for a fleeting while.
But for every sunrise still to come,
For every shared smile.
If love has learned one timeless truth,
It’s this above all else…
That home has never been these walls,
But simply where you are.
So unlock the doors…
Open the windows once again.
Let hope breathe deeply through our lives,
Like soft and welcome rain.
Bring me your lips My man…My love…
Welcome home, Mine againForevermore.
