Under the Swirling Sky
She stood where silence dreamed,
Among the roses’ red breath.
The stars turned slow above her,
Each one whispering of fate.
Her dress caught night’s reflection,
The wind unpinned her sigh.
She watched the worlds revolve,
Under the swirling sky.
Her eyes held quiet storms,
Unseen by those who slept.
She gathered light and sorrow,
And every promise kept.
The town below lay dreaming,
Its windows dim with sleep.
While shadows traced her footsteps,
Through secrets they would keep.
A single rose leaned toward her,
As though it knew her name.
Its thorns drew beads of scarlet,
Yet still she felt no shame.
The night began to tremble,
The air grew thick with cries.
But she stood calm and waiting,
Under the swirling skies.
She turned, her gaze unbroken,
Her silence fierce and wide.
For every star that vanished,
Was one she kept inside.
