There is no "one" to define it.
No syllables strung to signify.
How does "One" define a demon?
By sight?
By sound?
By sensation?
By scent?
While your heart's in your throat but the weights in your chest?
Too hollow to swim but too heavy to float.
Drowning and treading;
Choked by the heart while salt burns your throat.
Raw from the screams that no longer pitch
the black that has stolen your sight.
Or Surrendered Sensation
of scent succumbed to cold suffocation.
How does "One" define what is dead?
No "one" scent.
No "one" sound.
No "one" sight.
No "one" word.
No definition can agree.
I cannot define my demon.
But she sure as hell defines me.
