Every culture has a name for it.
Cities across all continents feared it.
Legends tell of rituals meant to scare creatures
Into letting the sun go, drive away the dragon, the tiger, the boy. Preachers and leaders had procedures
Performed by locals and officials alike. Throughout time it was seen as a terrible omen,
Something which incited fear and eternal judgment. A day to be reckoned with, a day claiming to begin the end of all times.
Even today, it's a foreboding omen. We fear aliens or doomsday is around the corner, another slip of the timeline. The reality is it's just a transition. People were obscured from the light and are coming back to reality.
