Uncommon

A watch with one hand.

A Rock'n'Roll drummer with one hand

Is a rare bird

The Yardbirds drew the flock

And watches around the world went tick tock

Led Zepplin was meant to be a laughing stock

Took the e out of lead

And put it in the ecstasy of the crowd

Who's feet rarely touched the floor

Blood and sweat and tears galore

Time signatures few can even play anymore

The hands move on

Round and round like strange pincers

Two hands are a problem for sure

Better to let it go

And change the face

Change the journey so it shows a few numbers more

Numbers one to twenty four

It is a rare sight

Like a person slowing down to watch

The sun rise

And then disappear into the night.
