Unchosen Realities

For those tired of being crushed by the rest.

None more unchosen than the surprise that did land

Others will never see the weights which it brought

This was nothing like what was planned

And against all for which was secretly fought

Some come when you least expect

And seldom at a time of choosing

Blustering through what you tried to erect

Like an out-of-control drunk doing some boozing

Make no pretty words about them when they stick

For none have ever been guilty of this being their choice

An ugliness about the world that is making it sick

From within it, the sounds of their screaming and pained voice

This is the unholiest of paths all must walk

Because of the truth of the reality that sadly knows no bounds

And it's past time for the wretched to do more bitching and talk

The hounds of hell are already making their rounds

It's the tale of what was left aside

A tale as told as time and space

Gone, the chance to hide

The hounds see your face

The unwanted and unknowns

They'll walk together in the street

Coming eventually to trample and pick your bones

They'll demand that pound of leftover meat

Leaving to chance that those who built the castle

Would just keep taking the same old crap

That they'd never become a hassle

It proved you chose wrong on life's map

The price of traveling the easier road

Those who shall not stay unchosen forever
