Unbroken Canvas

Painting Life After Pain

I rise from the ashes of a childhood

Scorched by neglect and indifference,

A sapling that refused to wither

In the drought of affection.

I emerge from nights spent hiding,

Muffling sobs in threadbare pillows,

From days of invisible wounds

That no bandage could ever cover.

Now, at this moment,

In this very breath,

I stand, unbroken, unbowed,

A writer of my own destiny,

A painter of vibrant dreams

On the canvas of possibility.

I've transmuted my pain into poetry,

My scars into stories that heal,

Breaking free from the cage of expectations

To soar on wings of my own making.

From a whisper to a roar,

From a flicker to a flame,

I've become the hero

Of my long-forgotten fairy tale.

Dancing to the rhythm of resilience,

Singing anthems of self-love,

I've found strength in my softness,

And power in my vulnerability.

I am my own masterpiece
